Milford Sound Tramp | Tongariro Crossing | Rafting

The Milford Sound Tramp is a 55 kilometer hike through New Zealand's Fiordland National Park. The trail starts at Lake Te Anau, goes up over the 1036m McKinnon Pass and finishes at Milford Sound. It logs an annual rainfall of 8 meters and we saw our share of it. The day that we crossed McKinnon pass it was raining buckets and the wind was gusting up to 60mph. Our guide kept ensuring us that it was better to hike in the rain as there are more waterfalls. I believe him. At one point I could count twenty falls all around us.
